Today is All Saints' Day. It is declared a public holiday all over the Philippines and also known as Undas. Filipinos flock to the cemetery to remember and commemorate those who have died in the past year. It is the time of the year to pay respect to our departed ones by offering flower bouquets, food, lighting candles, and reciting prayers on their graveside. It is also the day where families and relatives gather as a sort of reunion and pray together for the souls of the dead.
All Saints Day is marked with religious rites of the Catholic Church celebrated yearly on November 1. The day is devoted to the saints of the Church who have arrived in heaven.
