After Christmas Day

After a peaceful  Christmas celebration yesterday, people are rushing going to the malls to watch movies especially the ongoing Metro Manila Film Festival. Families are in full force bonding together eating at their favorite Jollibee outlets, McDonalds, Chow King, Kenny Roger's, Pizza Hut, Tokyo Tokyo, and other fast food restaurant. Children are everywhere still buying shoes, clothes, and toys after they got “aginaldos” from their Ninongs and Ninangs. Its pretty obvious that the season of Christmas is all about children, to make them happy and enjoy the long vacation.

Team Building - Part 3 (Malabrigo Lighthouse and Parting Ways)

After an overnight stay and drinking session of the team, half of our group decided to leave the place as early as eight o’clock in the morning. We ate our breakfast at 5:00 am and took a quick splash at the beachfront.  The tricycles we rented arrived at 7:30 am and we bade goodbye to the parents of our host teammate.  Going back to the municipality of Lobo, one thing we never forgot is our stopover at the Malabrigo Lighthouse (known as Faro de Punta de Malabrigo) along the Lobo-Malabrigo-Laiya road.  The lighthouse is one of the 24 lighthouses erected in the Philippines during the Spanish colonial era. The lighthouse was designed by Guillermo Brockman and was built by Jose Garcia in 1896. It was declared a National Historical Landmark on November 27, 2006.   We are not lucky to come inside the house because it is closed and we were not able to go up the lighthouse. We took pictures outside and enjoyed the peaceful place.

Team Building - Part 2 (Exploring the Beauty of the Seaside)

As we ended our stopover at the Pasalubong Center and bought the essential things and foodstuff we needed at the nearby marketplace of municipality of Lobo, we rented 4 tricycles that was provided by our host teammate. The first 45 minutes of our ride was essentially smooth because of the paved and cemented roads of Lobo-Malabrigo road.  It was really commendable of the local government of having these roads cemented. After we reached The Shore House resort our agony begins because of the unpaved and dusty roads, and zigzag terrain of the Lobo-Malabrigo-Laiya road.  There are times that we needed to alight the tricycle so we can push it going upside the road.  It was really a journey worth remembering as we laughed ourselves to this enjoyable ride.  We passed by the famous Malabrigo Lighthouse and Punta Verde Resort.  As we approached the area of our destination, we have seen from above the road the beautiful seashore that would greet us in awe!  We were met by the parents of our host teammate and started to unpacked our things and gave ourselves a much needed rest. I will not elaborate anymore what happened next, because the pictures or photos that I will post speaks for itself.
