Life After You (2026 Film)

After several weeks I was not able to watch a movie, finally I've got a chance to see the film "Life After You", a Filipino movie starring Bella Padilla and Maricel Soriano. The movie is all about assistant director Joey (played by Bella Padilla) who plans to move to Canada to study. Her life was changed when her sister Dianne died in an accident. Joey decided to put hold off her dreams and raised her orphaned niece. She contacted Bella (played by Maricel Soriano) who is the grandmother on the father's side of her niece. The movie tracks Joey and Bella as they find the right course on how to raise Denise in different ways, learning for forgiveness and friendship through generations. "Life After You" is a very honest movie which everyone of us can relate. There are scenes that will make you cry and scenes will make you laugh with touches of humor. Overall, Bella Padilla and Maricel Soriano provided a strong on-screen chemistry in the movie. It is honest to note that I enjoyed watching the film and worth watching for. 

Insidious: Out of the Further (2026 Film)

I was able to watched the sixth installment of Insidious franchise which is Insidious: Out of the Further yesterday (Sep. 02 2026). This is the first time I watched any of the franchise of Insidious. Insidious: Out of the Further is an American supernatural horror film and it is written and directed by Jacob Chase. Unfortunately, I found the movie a little boring and there are some scenes that didn't scared me at all. I'm a horror movie enthusiast and I feel something lacking with this film. However, the lead actress Amelia Eve was able to deliver a solid performance as  Gemma, the protagonist. I just cannot explained after I went outside the theatre, I felt dissatisfied for what I had watched. For me the best horror film I've watched this year so far is Evil Dead Burn, it really scared me to the bones.
