Last February 28 and 29, I was able to join my former officemates from Uptown in a simple night out and get together outside Manila. We stayed at Splash Mountain Resort and Hotel at Los Banos, Laguna. The get together was in connection to the arrival of Maribel who just came from Canada for her vacation. We enjoyed very much our stay from the hotel especially talking and sharing stories from each other during the night. Our food was never a problem because we decided to have a potluck bringing our snacks, dinner, and junk foods to eat. On our last day, we decided to eat at the restaurant of the hotel were food was very good and delicious. We ordered, pancit, lumpiang shanghai, and fried chicken which is absolutely Filipino cooked and yummy. There are some setbacks which we encountered, for example, the TV inside our room is not working. We called the attention of the hotel management 6 times but no technician came to check it out (as they promised). Of course, it would not be complete if we don't take pictures for souvenirs.

Summer Fun at Nagcarlan (Green Nature Resort and Leisure Park)
The summer heat is really becoming unbearable. I would rather stay at home than going out because of the scorching heat of the sun. But last week, my friends decided to have an outdoor swimming so we can relieve the hot weather and went to Green Nature Resort and Leisure Park at Nagcarlan, Laguna. The resort is absolutely beautiful and clean. There is a wavepool which we enjoyed so much together with other visitors of the resort. The swimming pools for adults and children are very clean and properly maintained. The entrance fee is reasonable and there is an ample parking space for your vehicles at the entrance of the resort. There are various amenities of the resort which the visitors can avail. The room that we rented is very clean including the comfort room and shower room, AC is running well. Generally, we enjoyed so much our one day outdoor swimming. I recommend this resort who is looking for a clean and eco-friendly resort outside the concrete jungle of Metro Manila.

Eco Saddle Resort at Lake Caliraya
Last week I was invited by my "kumare" from Sta. Cruz, Laguna to a get together of her batchmates in high school. We went to the beautiful place of Eco Saddle Resort at Caliraya, Lumban, Laguna. Within the resort is Mount Carmel Lakeside Camp where our group stayed. The place is a perfect hideaway during weekdays or weekends where you can bring your family, friends, and love ones, even by yourself. There are lots of cottages for rent where you can sleep overnight or stay the whole day for relaxation. What else is extra special is the floating cottages which is fully furnished equipped with everything, including a small kitchen, comfort room, and television set for rent. The area has a cold weather and lots of greenery with plants and trees growing around. You need to bring a jacket or hoodie to protect yourself from the cold climate. Different species of flora and fauna are scattered around the place. We had a grand time exploring the place, especially taking selfies and groupies, eating together with those sumptuous foods that was brought by each member. If you want peace of mind away from the bustling and busy Metro Manila, this is a perfect place for you.
