Since the start of the month of April, the Philippines and other Southeast Asian countries like Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and Myanmmar had experienced temperatures reaching over 40°C. In the Philippines, on-site or face to face classes at all levels of school was suspended due to unbearable hot weather. Most of the schools are recommended to asynchronous classes. Everyone are advised not to go outside of their houses between 10AM in the morning until 4PM in the afternoon, especially senior citizens and children to avoid heat stroke. This is the time where extreme hot temperatures occurrs. The public was advised to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water, wear loose and light clothes (like white cotton shirts), limit outdoor activities, avoid drinking coffee and alcoholic drinks, wear protection against the sun by applying sunscreen, and using umbrellas when going outside. In addition, wear sunglasses that has UV protection. We will not only experience this extreme hot temperature in April but also for the coming month of May. Please take care of ourselves.
