Chinese New Year 2021 - Year of the Ox

Today, February 12 is a special legal holiday in the Philippines because of the Chinese New Year. We wish our fellow Filipino-Chinese friends Gong Xi Fa Cai!  In celebration of this national holiday, SM centers had created Chinese New Year related displays.

Kalachuchi (Plumeria Rubra)

Last week I bought this ornamental plant called Kalachuchi (scientific name is Plumeria rubra). One of the most common ornamental plants found in houses and parks in the Philippines. The flowers are now in full bloom and it’s relaxing to see its bright color. An additional ornamental plant to my growing mini- garden.

Change of Tubeless Tire

After 3 years of my Honda Click125i usage, I was obliged to change the back tire of my scooter because of wear and tear. The tire had cracks on the side which makes it flat and too dangerous for continuous driving. This is also for my own safety. Thanks for the mechanic who changed it for only 30 minutes. I was lucky that we had this motor shop near to our place. 

Blessed and Prosperous New Year 2021

First and foremost, I would like to greet everybody a blessed and prosperous new year. It’s another year of unpredictable and worrisome year since the corona virus pandemic is still here. Fortunately, vaccines are already available and hopefully our country can avail of these vaccines and start to give Filipinos the needed vaccination. Let us be positive and be optimistic that the year 2021 will be the year of healing, give us a better life and will provide more opportunities of employment to those who became jobless during the start of the pandemic. I wish that this year will bring us more prosperity and good health throughout the year. Let us not forget to pray and thank God for all the blessings he had given us for the past year especially that we are free from COVID infection and still very much alive. Let us stay safe and follow the health protocol of wearing face mask and face shield whenever we go out of our house. I thank God that when I wake up this morning, my plants outside my house  had grown so fresh and blooming which is a very positive sign of prosperity and abundance. Again, I wish everybody a blessed and prosperous new year.

Merry Christmas 2020

2020 is a year full of challenges for us. This is a year that is totally different from the rest of the previous years. Not only in the Philippines but the whole world because the corona virus pandemic. Life has not been normal for us. In spite of this, we Filipinos was able to cope with the challenges of this pandemic until now. With or without this pandemic, Christmas will continue as a tradition for all Christians around the world. Today, is the birth of our savior Jesus Christ and we are celebrating his birthday with the whole Christian world. I am thankful that my family are healthy and I'm gifted to be working at home. I wish you a blessed and merry Christmas!

Tootie and Tobby

Meet the two babies in our house. Tootie, the shih tzu and Tobby, the poodle. Together they fight and play. Both are adorable and smart.

Mini Vegetable Garden

It’s nice to see every morning that my lady finger plant (okra) is growing and my water spinach (kangkong) plants are sprouting. During this time of the pandemic, it is necessary for us to sustain some of  our vegetable needs. Prices of vegetable and fruits in the market are getting high so the need for planting vegetable in your backyard is a must. Aside from growing ornamental plants on my mini garden, I decided that it is a wise move to grow vegetable plant in large pots.

VEISON Motorcycle/Scooter Disc Brake Lock

During this pandemic, our city was declared GCQ by the IATF. Transportation is still difficult so I used my motorcycle whenever I go out to buy essential needs at home, like going to grocery and pharmacy. Whenever I park my motorcycle, I still worry a lot leaving it because of the rampant theft of motorcycle nowadays. So, I decided to watch videos in You Tube about motorcycle or scooter locks. Upon checking which of these locks are the best, I came across this Veison disc brake lock. I immediately ordered it at Lazada and after a week I received it without any hassle or problem. Now, I used this disc brake lock whenever I park my scooter anywhere without worrying.
