Summer is Here Again

PAGASA declared last March 22, 2019 as the start of the dry season or summer season in the Philippines.  This was declared earlier than last years start of April 10, 2018 because of El Nino. We Filipinos will brace again warmer and hotter days ahead.  People will troop to the beach to enjoy the cool water of the sea and some will go to resorts to immerse themselves to swimming pools all day long.  Beach lovers will not only enjoy the white sands but also the clean and clear crystal waters of the sea. During this dry season, keep hydrated by drinking water every now and then. Enjoy the summer season.

Papaya Island Cove's, Nasugbu, Batangas

Our much awaited team building was held last February 27-28, 2019 at the beautiful and magical place of Papaya Island Cove's at Nasugbu, Batangas. This island is truly a paradise. We had experienced to do cliff jumping, swimming, trekking, fish feeding, and beach bumming for a 2 days 1 night package on an affordable budget. Here are some of our pictures during our stay at Papaya Island Cove's.

Prayers

I had been struggling with my life for the past few days. Indeed, prayer is the best armor against all trials.  Thank God for your goodness.

Sleeping Is Nice

According to some experts sleeping is nice. We forget about everything for little while. Sleeping relaxes our mind, and relieves stress. Everyday when we travel going to work or going home from work, it’s good to take a nap or sleep as we struggle to cope with the heavy traffic.

Gardening

One of my pastime activities during my rest day from work is to attend my gardening tasks at home.  I love and enjoy gardening because it is a stress reliever. I used to talked to my plants in the morning especially when watering them.  Now, my lime and "calamansi" plants had already produced fruits. I was very happy and overjoyed about the result of my plants bearing its own fruits.

Our Lady of Candelaria Parish Church

One of my goals this year is to visit and explore different churches in the province of Cavite where I live. Old and historical churches fascinates me because they represents the history of our faith especially for the Roman Catholics. They are proof of how Catholicism have dominated the faith of the majority of Filipino people. Last January 09, 2019, I started to visit Our Lady of Candelaria Parish Church at Silang, Cavite. This is the first time I visited the church and according to historians it was founded in 1595. The church is also known as Silang Church and it is popular for its Spanish colonial architectural style and the rococo-influenced retablos. It was declared as National Cultural Treasures by the National Museum of the Philippines last February 03, 2017. Silang Church is a typical baroque church. Upon entering the church you will notice immediately the beautiful retablos at the center which is the main altar. There are two retablos at the left and right sides of the church. After offering my prayers, I started to take photos inside the church.
