The Grand Magical Christmas Parade 2024 kicked off last November 16, 2024 at SM City Bacoor, Cavite. This will continue across various SM Supermalls in South Luzon. The parade featured Christmas characters including Santa Claus and other classic Christmas favorites. Also included are princes and princesses which add a touch of fairy tale scenario. Holiday Season 2024
The holiday or Christmas season has officially arrived at SM Malls around the country. Beautiful and giant Christmas trees light up the space at the center corner of the malls. As my yearly practice, I always visited every malls to take videos and photos of their Christmas displays. On this blog I will start to show you the enchanting display at SM City Bacoor. All Saints' Day
Today is All Saints' Day. It is declared a public holiday all over the Philippines and also known as Undas. Filipinos flock to the cemetery to remember and commemorate those who have died in the past year. It is the time of the year to pay respect to our departed ones by offering flower bouquets, food, lighting candles, and reciting prayers on their graveside. It is also the day where families and relatives gather as a sort of reunion and pray together for the souls of the dead.
All Saints Day is marked with religious rites of the Catholic Church celebrated yearly on November 1. The day is devoted to the saints of the Church who have arrived in heaven.

64 Days Until Christmas
Christmas is fast approaching. In Philippines, Christmas celebrations begin as early as September. You will notice Christmas songs being played in every radio stations, malls started to decorate their stores with Christmas decorations, and as a centerpiece they install big Christmas tree with colorful lights, Christmas balls, mistletoes, stockings, garlands, and candy canes. SM malls and other known malls such as Robinsons, Ayala Malls started this trend. As an example of this tradition, SM City Bacoor provided us a glimpse of Christmas decoration they have installed on their second floor area.

Carlos Yulo - Double Gold Medalist at Paris Olympics 2024
Carlos Edriel Yulo, our Filipino gymnast has made history at the Paris Olympics 2024. He won two gold medals for the Philippines, first the floor exercise final event (August 03) where he scored 15.00 behind Israel (Artem Dolgopyat) and Great Britain (Jake Jarman). On the second night (August 04), Carlos again strike another gold for the individual vault finals with a score of 15.116 behind Armenia (Arthur Davtyan) and Great Britain (Harry Hepworth). Carlos, became the first male Olympic gold medalist in the history of Philippine sports, and only the other second Olympic champion after Hidilyn Diaz won the very first gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics in 2022 for weightlifting.
Yulo's success will have him get a total cash incentive of P20,000,000 (10 million for each gold) from the Philippine government. Another P6,000,000 (3 million each) from the House of representatives, a house and lot, and a 3 bedroom unit condominium amounting to P32 million from property giant Megaworld. Other big business group has pledged to give Carlos Yulo cash gifts, furnitures, and a lifetime free buffet, etc. Again, I would like to congratulate Carlos Yulo for the historic win at the Paris Olympics and we are so proud of you.

Tower of Imus
The tower in Imus is one of the old iconic structure in Imus, Cavite. It is situated at Nueno Avenue, Bayan Luma where the Imus Tennis Club is also located. The old tower is visible when you go to the old city hall of Imus coming from Aguinaldo Highway. It is beside the Imus Pilot Elementary School. The tower is one of the famous structure of Imus City.

Imus City Plaza
General Licerio Topacio Park is popularly known as Imus City Plaza located at the town proper at Poblacion, Imus City. It is one of the most visited park or plaza of the city where the monument of General Licerio Topacio was erected with two artilleries stands between the monument. The plaza was named after the valiant General Topacio, who fought the independence of the country against foreign forces during his time. General Topacio was twice appointed as municipal president of Imus after the Philippine-American war. Today, locals and foreigners flock to this plaza to take selfie or group photos of the monument.

Philippines 126th Independence Day
Today June 12, 2024, we are celebrating the 126th Independence day from Spain (1898). This is a national holiday in our country. Emilio Aguinaldo declared our country's independence from Spain at the Aguinaldo Shrine at Kawit, Cavite. All government departments, agencies, LGUs, private establishments and buildings are required to display the national flag during the period from May 28 to June 12.

TRINX M1000 QUEST 29ER MOUNTAIN BIKE
Finally, I bought my favorite TRINX M1000 QUEST 29ER mountain bike. I was able to used it for almost 3 months and I'm very happy about my biking experienced with no issue at all. The mountain bike is a bit pricy for about 16K but I got a 20% discount during that time.

Extreme Hot Weather
Since the start of the month of April, the Philippines and other Southeast Asian countries like Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and Myanmmar had experienced temperatures reaching over 40°C. In the Philippines, on-site or face to face classes at all levels of school was suspended due to unbearable hot weather. Most of the schools are recommended to asynchronous classes. Everyone are advised not to go outside of their houses between 10AM in the morning until 4PM in the afternoon, especially senior citizens and children to avoid heat stroke. This is the time where extreme hot temperatures occurrs. The public was advised to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water, wear loose and light clothes (like white cotton shirts), limit outdoor activities, avoid drinking coffee and alcoholic drinks, wear protection against the sun by applying sunscreen, and using umbrellas when going outside. In addition, wear sunglasses that has UV protection. We will not only experience this extreme hot temperature in April but also for the coming month of May. Please take care of ourselves.

Holy Week - "Pabasa ng Pasyon 2024"
During the Holy Week, Pabasa ng Pasyon also known as Pabasa is a Catholic religious ceremony in the Philippines chanting and singing the passion of Christ taken on a whole book. It is done into two groups alternately chanting the lines of the book. It is an annual tradition during the Holy Week which last 1 to 3 days. It is one way to repent our sins during the Holy Week.
Palm Sunday
Last Sunday March 24 which is Palm Sunday for all Christian Catholics around the world was celebrated that falls on Sunday before Easter. It commemorates Jesus Christ entry to Jerusalem, when he was greeted by the crowds waving Palm branches. In Philippines, we commemorate Palm Sunday by attending the mass and after that the priest will bless the palms as he walks along the aisle of the church and people along waving the palm altogether. Palm Sunday is the start of Holy Week.

We ordered Grilled Pork Belly, Boneless Chicken BBQ, Grilled Tuna Belly, rice and bottled water. The food tastes so good and delicious. One of the most affordable steakhouse in Boracay.
