Side Trip at Hacienda Escudero (Villa Escudero)

We made a side trip at Hacienda Escudero at Tiaong, Quezon Province after we attended the father's burial of my "kumare" from Candelaria, Quezon last March 11. We just drop by at the place to make some photoshoots for souvenir.  We enjoyed the view upon entering the area with it's lush surroundings and greenery.  The place is so relaxing, although we only stayed at the reception hall and souvenir shop of the hacienda, it was worth staying there for a few hours. We are planning to go back again to this place for our summer get together on an overnight stay.

SINTOMAS Art Group Exhibit

Recently, I had made my monthly grocery shopping at SM City Bacoor, Cavite.  I was able to checked the activity center of the mall were the SINTOMAS Group Exhibit showed their latest collection of paintings at SM Malls of Cavite.  The artworks are all beautiful with significant messages about man, nature, and society. Even an ordinary person or viewer can acquire the messages what the paintings are relating for. I hope the SM management would continue this kind of exhibit so that people from all walks of life can appreciate the beauty of paintings and the messages it can teach to every human being.

  

The Beautiful and Captivating Laguna

It was a beautiful day last Saturday, February 18, 2017 when my former officemates from Uptown invited me to Sta. Cruz, Laguna for a sort of mini reunion.  It was actually my Kumare who invited me who is a resident of the place.  After we had eaten our snack at their house, we decided to go first to Liliw, Laguna and went on shopping for slippers where "Tsinelas Festival" is famous. This is my first time in Liliw, Laguna and we had enjoyed shopping for slippers, shoes, belts, and other pasalubong we had bought.

  

After our shopping and visited Liliw Laguna, we decided to eat our lunch at Calle Arco at Pagsanjan, Laguna. The restaurant is famous in Pagsanjan and we were lucky enough to have a vacant table for our group.   We were served by a set of sumptuous Filipino dish like crispy pata, sinigang na baboy, sweet and sour pla-pla, pinakbet, etc.  The food was delicious and we were able to finished our lunch with gusto or satisfaction.

After our lunch, we decided to go to our destination at Caliraya, Lumban, Laguna.  We need to trek the place through zig-zag roads from Pagsanjan.  It is a breathtaking journey because of the greenery and growing trees along the road and where you can view the vast Laguna Lake and the Windmills of Pililla, Rizal below the mountain.  We had reach our destination at Lagos Del Sol Resort Hotel within an hour after we made a stopover at the Japanese Garden.  The location is awesome, and I believe the place is a perfect destination for a weekend rendezvous were you can relax with your family, friends, or relatives. The resort is an alternative venue  for the rowdy, fast life, and polluted environment of Metro Manila.

Quality Time With My Mother

After the day I came back to our beloved country, I invited my mother, sister and my nephew for a lunch date at Max's Restaurant, SM City Bacoor. My mother had enjoyed the menu that was served to us like her favorite kare-kare, pancit canton, fried chicken, tokwa't baboy with that delicious sauce, and the pritong bangus (boneless) with spicy chop tomatoes. I really wanted to spend quality time with my mother to show her our love, and in return to give her back the affection she really needs from her children.  She will have an operation soon to remove one of her breast and I want to be on her side during that time to give her my moral support.  I'm really praying to God that the operation will be successful and for her quick recovery.

Happy New Year to all!  A small and simple celebration to begin with this new year, but a big appreciation of the positive things that happened during 2016! Welcome 2017, may all our dreams and apsirations turn into reality, and all our efforts into great achievements.  Thank you God for all the graces and blessings that you had given me and to my family.
