Carlos Yulo - Double Gold Medalist at Paris Olympics 2024

Carlos Edriel Yulo, our Filipino gymnast has made history at the Paris Olympics 2024. He won two gold medals for the Philippines, first the floor exercise final event (August 03) where he scored 15.00 behind Israel (Artem Dolgopyat) and Great Britain (Jake Jarman). On the second night (August 04), Carlos again strike another gold for the individual vault finals with a score of 15.116 behind Armenia (Arthur Davtyan) and Great Britain (Harry Hepworth). Carlos, became the first male Olympic gold medalist in the history of Philippine sports, and only the other second Olympic champion after Hidilyn Diaz won the very first gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics in 2022 for weightlifting.

Yulo's success will have him get a total cash incentive of P20,000,000 (10 million for each gold) from the Philippine government. Another P6,000,000 (3 million each) from the House of representatives, a house and lot, and a 3 bedroom unit condominium amounting to P32 million from property giant Megaworld. Other big business group has pledged to give Carlos Yulo cash gifts, furnitures, and a lifetime free buffet, etc. Again, I would like to congratulate Carlos Yulo for the historic win at the Paris Olympics and we are so proud of you.
