It's December 31, and people are rushing to the supermarkets to buy their stuff to welcome the new year at midnight. Believe me, I went to SM Molino Hypermarket to buy some fruits and drinks and it took me 45 minutes to reach the cashier because of the long queue.

Happy Birthday to My Dearest Mom!

Today is the birthday of my dearest Mom!  I wish her more good health and may our good Lord Jesus Christ give her the strength and perseverance to overcome all the challenges in her life.  More importantly, we will give her the love and care she needs from us.  Happy Birthday Nanay Lina!  We love you very much.  God bless you always.

Merry Chistmas to all Christians of the world!  This is a very special day for Jesus Christ as we remember his birth from Betlehem. As we celebrate Christmas with gift giving to our family and relatives, reuniting families on this special day of the year, we need to remember that celebrating Christmas is about love and sharing.  Today, our family celebrated Christmas for the first time without my father and grandmother who died last March and November respectively.  Sad to say that they leave us, their spirit and memories are still with us on this special day.  Below are some snapshots of todays celebation together with my mother, nieces, and nephews.

I went this afternoon at SM Southmall, Las Pinas City. Since I had read from the internet last night that red wine is good for the heart, I drop by at SM wine and liquors section to buy the item.  Since its the 24th of December there are lots of people buying wines at that time.  I asked the saleslady which red wine is the best among the items that are displayed on the racks.  She suggested that I buy the Novellino Red Wine which has a sweet taste.  So decided to buy two for an added drinks during our Noche Buena.  I bought also one cake roll from Goldilocks which is my favorite.  Everytime I do the rounds of malling, I never forget to buy cake roll from Goldilocks.  My family like it also very much.

 

This will be my first time to drink a red wine. As per my research, red wine contains resveratrol which is a powerful antioxidant compound.  So drinking two glasses of red wine a day can protect our heart and prevents cardiovascular disease. Other benefits of red wine are a good source of preventing cancer and tooth decay.

On the 23rd Day of December 2012

I met my closest friends and college buddies today at Robinsons Place Manila.  They are Precy and Gemma.  Although we are only a company of three, we enjoy our buffet lunch at Cabalen and shared each others life story for the past 2 years I'm away from Philippines.  The last time we were together was on my last vacation of February 2010. It's Christmas Time

It's my eight day of my vacation in the Philippines and everywhere you go, the spirit of Christmas is all around the place especially from the biggest malls of Manila and it's surrounding cities.  As I went to Robinsons Galleria along Ortigas to renew my driver's license, I took some pictures of the Christmas trees and decorations from the malls I went through, from SM Megamall to Shangrila along Shaw Boulevard.

15 Years

Finally, I recently received my 15 years service award certificate from my company at Saudi Arabia. Together with the certificate is a Gift Card from Extra worth SR 4000.00 which I bought for 1 Nikon D5100 18-55 VR Kit Camera and a Sony Vaio E Series Laptop Intel Core i5. My family and friends are so very proud of my achievement and I'm very elated for the congratulatory messages I received from them. Fifteen years working on the same company is considered a long period of time. With hard work, perseverance, and dedication, nothing is impossible to achieve this goal. I focused mainly on my work despite some pressures and stress from workloads and the environment itself. I believe, to reach our goal successfully, we need to have a positive outlook in whatever endeavor we choose.  Here are the items which I bought from my SR4000 EXTRA Gift Card for my 15 years gift award.

Goodbye Lola Martha, May You Rest in Peace

We will miss you Lola (Nanay) Martha. Your sufferings are over and the pain is gone forever. God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. He put His arms around you and whispered "Come to Me". We loved you dearly and we could not make you stay. I will always remember the times when we were together going to SSS, bringing me to the hospital when I was a child and was sicked taking care of me. You are always there to comfort me. Thank you very much Nanay Martha for the unconditional love. Magpahinga na po kayo at magkikita-kita na rin kayo ni Lolo Inong, Auntie Mila, Uncle Lando, Tito Obath and Tatay Imo. May you rest in peace Lola Martha, I love you po.

Just bought my new cologne or "eau de toilette" or whatever you called it.  Its Cool Water - Pure Pacific by Davidoff.  The scent is so refreshing and will last for 6 to 7 hours. My officemates just love it.

Like this song from Madonna.  Very cool and the video is great and colorful.  The title of the song is "Give Me All Your Luvin" which is now currently No. 13 at the Billboard Hot 100.  This song will be the 56th time Madonna had entered into the Hot 100.  The song is included in the album titled "MDNA" which will be released on March 26. Can't wait to buy this great album from the Queen of Pop!

Samsung Galaxy Note

Just bought my new Samsung Galaxy Note which is the latest smartphone from Samsung.  I may say that I'm a proud owner of this fantastic gadget because its an all in one smartphone or you might say a tablet.  I'm enjoying the functions of this smartphone especially the new added attraction  which is S-Pen or Stylus Pen attached at the back of the phone.  You can take notes and draw by using the S-Pen through the S Memo application.   At 5.3 inches diagonally, the Galaxy Note is the largest device that you could reasonably still call a mobile phone.  Inside the Galaxy Note is a 1.4 GHz dual-core Exynos chip and 1GB of RAM, together with 16GB of internal storage, which is expandable by adding a micro-SD card like a 32GB which I bought together with the unit. The Galaxy Note sports a High Definition (HD) Super AMOLED display, this time at 1280x800 (WXGA) resolution.  The screen is so vivid you can enjoy the screen and display.  Amazingly, the unit is thin and light for a 5.3 incher. I can put it also on my jeans pocket without being uncomfortable.  The Galaxy Note runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread with the TouchWiz 4.0 UI.  I believe Samsung is now the leading smartphone maker in the world because of its innovative and unique mobile phones being sold around the world.  I owned a Samsung Galaxy S II and a Samsung I8910 Gold Edition and I'm still using it.  Everybody is talking about Samsung Galaxy Note in our office. I'm very very proud that I'm the first one to own it even if the price is a little bit high.  But I believe its worth of a penny.  Bravo to Samsung Galaxy Note.

Welcome 2012, Goodbye 2011!

Goodbye for 2011 and we welcome 2012, with hope it will bring more blessings and positive outlook in our lives.  As the year 2011 brings natural calamities such as earthquakes, tsunamis and typhoon in several countries, we hope 2012 will bring good tidings and a bright future, and people around the world should learn the mistakes of the past so it will never happen again. 2012 is the Year of the Dragon according to Chinese astrology.  The Year of the Dragon will be marked by excitement, unpredictability, exhilaration and intensity. So let us hope and pray that this year with the Water Dragon on the forefront of 12 Chinese zodiac signs will give us good luck in every way or things we do.  With hope and optimism of a better world we are living in, Welcome 2012!
