Shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary of Manaoag

Our Lady of the Rosary of Manaoag Altar

I believe this is the happiest and memorable vacation I had on my 22 years as an OFW. I had visited and revisited places which is close to my heart. For the second time around, we went to Shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary of Manaoag in Pangasinan.  Me and my friend Herbert from MCI came with me to visit the shrine last January 29, 2014.  We boarded a Five Star bus at Pasay terminal going exactly to Manaoag church.  We leave  the terminal at exactly 5am. This time we were able to catch the 11:00 am mass and was able to have our rosary blessed by the priest after the holy mass.  The church was half filled since it is a weekday (Wednesday). After the mass, Herbert and I took some pictures inside the church for souvenir.  We went to the grotto located at the back of the church and took some pictures for ourselves.  About 1pm we decided to take our lunch at Mang Inasal - the first barbecue fastfood chain in the Philippines, the restaurant is a walking distance from the church, actually on the other side of the road where buses from Manila are coming from. After we ate our lunch, we decided to stay at Star of David Hotel for 3 hours to take a nap, relieve, relax ourselves and we are able to take shower before we sleep.  Star of David Hotel is just one kilometer from the church and can be reach through tricycle. Around 5:30pm we had prepared ourselves to go back to Manila.  We ride a tricycle going at the Manaoag Town Hall were Dagupan Bus Line is located and waiting for passengers.  It was a long trip going back to Manila.  We reached Cubao at 11pm and was lucky enough to catch an air conditioned bus going to Coastal Mall terminal were all provincial buses going to Cavite, Batangas and others are located.  I reached my house at Imus at exactly 11:55 pm. My friend who is living at Dasmarinas was able to reached his house at 12:30 am. My trip to the Shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary of Manaoag is indeed a memorable and enjoyable one.  Here are some pictures we had taken.
